Sir Walter Scotts Carse o Gowrie is a moist demi-gros snuff made from Bright Leaf Virginia and Malawi Burley tobacco, cased with a tincture of Scottish raspberries. The grind is medium-coarse and the moisture content is high.

The raspberry note is the primary scent, with the tobacco base remaining present underneath. The blend takes its name from the Carse of Gowrie, a stretch of fertile land along the Firth of Tay in Scotland where raspberry cultivation has been concentrated since the 19th century.
