McChrystal's Warm Glow is an allegory to the holiday festivities so present in the western tradition. A spicy mixture of clove, fir, allspice and a piquant whiff of cinnamon that offers the nose a luxuriant robe of a winter's evening blessed with a warm hearth. The tobacco taste is present but not predominant which is quite fitting for this snuff. The texture, moisture and nicotine are all mid to moderate and should be considered secondary qualifiers to the celebratory spirit provided. Cheers and happy holidays all year round.

Signature Dish

Cloves are the flower buds of an evergreen tree that originally grew in the Moluccas. The Dutch East India Company enslaved the whole region in an attempt secure their monopoly on this and other spices. Both antiseptic and anaesthetic, cloves provide a warm calming sensation when ingested. This snuff combines cloves, allspice and, what seems to be, aromatic cedar with a pulverized tobacco that sports a mild nicotine hit. Warm Glow is a wonderful, non-mentholated, way to clear the sinuses’ cobwebs and is perfectly matched to Asian cuisine. I take objection to it being classified a mere Christmas treat as it is, rather, a dish to be shared at the communal table whenever hot chillies and garlic are being exalted at the gastronomical altar.

Love it or hate it flavor.

Not at all piney or wood scented. Not really cinnamon..maybe clove? Definitely a Christmas flavour. I am warming up to it.

McChrystal's Warm Glow

Warm indeed. An extremely pleasant spiced cinnamon snuff that has a refreshing profile reminiscent of fresh air. If you've ever burned seasoned Eastern White Pine in a campfire and smelled the soft resinous smell from the wood, you'll enjoy this. I definitely pick up a campfire resin/pitch note that is beautifully authentic. 5 stars.
