Viking Dark has a bold tobacco taste that is easily discerned when opening the tin. The first aromas are smoke, peat, wet straw, all earthy elements of a rich soil, followed by a sweet floral scent that finishes with notes of caramel or burning sugars. The color of this masterpiece is dark chocolate with medium moisture, coarse and fluffy in texture and provides a negligible nose burn and a superior nicotine hit. This snuff is easy to take with an above average endorphin rush, base only on these criteria, should be favored in your collection. If not yet discovered, it should be included in your next replenishment. Happy snuffing.

Of the three Viking snuffs I've had so far, this is my favorite. Nice grind and plenty moist. I mistook the initial burn for a hint of menthol, but I'm pretty sure there isn't any in there. Just a quality snuff for quality enjoyment!
Absolutely amazing snuff, great scent , packed with as much nicotine as you could want.
Coarse and moist. I grew up in Kentucky. They’d smoke the tobacco in the barns every fall. This brings me back. This is Marlboro Reds. Camel Wide unfiltered. Copenhagen Straight. I just wish the smell lasted longer, but it’s a whole experience. I want to repeat it often. A good all day/workin man’s snuff. Nothing soft or delicate here, just bold tobacco in your face. It’s delicious, but like a fat steak.
It's hard to imagine a more perfect snuff. It is rich, moist, earthy. Viking dark is adult stuff, sophisticated, and always interesting. The grind is perfect, just enough burn but doesn't fall out once it's in there. It suits my snuffing style. The moisture is just right. There is a fascinating creosote note deep in there somewhere. In my morning ritual, I get all my preparation done to go to work, sit in my comfy Amish chair and savor that first hit, close my eyes, and enjoy the significant rush of nicotene. Then I'm at it all day, about every 15 minutes. Good for the beginner and old pro alike. Can't get enough, and nothing else I've tried beats it.
