McChrystal's Sturco is daring. This snuff has a bold flavor with a heroic dose of nicotine. This plain Jane wrapper stores maximum medicated flavor with a solid menthol presence assisted with some peppery mint to overpower the nose feel with an icy anodyne effect. Immediate sinus clearing is noticed while a refreshing and calming feeling precedes the endorphin rush. Enjoy a pinch today.

Jip vs. Sturco Toss Up

I really liked this but my nephew liked it even more and begged me to give him my tin. Now I have to order more. Anyway, it's been a month since I tried it but the way I really can't say I remember the difference between Jip and Sturco. I know they are both very good. Favorites.

Pleasantly surprised

I thought that I didn't like mentholated snuffs. I've tried Jip and O&G and didn't really like either but this stuff is great. For me it has a big smack of menthol but it has a bit of minty sweetness on the backend which made this perfect for me.

Strong and Dry

Drier than O&G I think, very strong menthol, and quite fine grind. The description of "strong, dry snuff" is fitting. Good tobacco base, has the tendency to hit the throat a little bit being so dusty. But if you are used to that consistency, no problem. Plenty of nicotine as well.

Sturco has bite.

I find Sturco a little stronger in the menthol delivery than Jip, which is a favourite of mine. Definitely a great sinus clearer. It finishes on a more tobacco note for me. Not as smooth and sweet as Jip. Still a great addition to my collection.

Camphor Q-Tip

Sturco is the strongest of McCrystal’s mentholated snuffs. It is high in nicotine, of medium moisture and strongly mentholated. I also taste a distinguishing peppermint note that is not found in either McCrystal’s Original, Highland Ice or JIP. It does not have the sweetness of McCrystal’s Glacier. Sturco has great sinus clearing properties; like doing a Covid test, but first dipping the cotton swap in Tiger Balm.
