Gawith Hoggarth Special M is a well balanced dominantly spicy mixture that has no overpowering medicinal flavor. The tobacco taste is quite present and comes through to wed with the peppermint and menthol for a well rounded result. The color is mid brown with a medium grind and moisture. This snuff is easy to take and provides a nice jolt of nicotine.
Available in a variety of convenient container sizes.

I'm not sure as to why this is named as it is. Maybe due to the slight mint scent. As my nose sees this the tobacco is the star and is quite good. There is a hint of mint maybe camphor and an ever so slight hint of menthol possibly. Overall the snuff is really good. I also really like this particular style of tin. I would give 4 stars but feel the naming is misleading.
A nice little snuff that smells like a candy cane upon opening the tap tin. Similar to Bernard’s Steifeprise but without the stiffness in the breeze. Ruddy brown and well ground, this mild snuff is a gentle elixir for Holiday Parties and over indulgences of Rum Cake with Hard Sauce.
For the first time I have found a snuff I truly dislike. I am sure some will love it. Not for me. a dry brown snuff with a scent like whiffing TUMS lozenges., A peppermint scent, very slight indeed with no discernable menthol I could detect. low nicotine to med perhaps. I would guess that a beginner might enjoy this. I ordered some Wilsons SM 500 and thought this might be similar. HUGE MISTAKE...I got this as well. Not horrible, but not what I would call all that good either. Get Wilsons if looking for a medicated. This snuff is not all that good. just my opinion
