Plain home toast from burley leaf
From volunge on the Snuffhouse forum, 2021
A one-ingredient snuff: toasted leaf, ground and sifted, with nothing added. A Ukrainian burley called Spectr works well.

Mellow on nicotine, but a good quick pinch.
Notes
For a tiny batch, toast a pinch of leaf on baking paper over a gas hob. It takes a minute or two, and you'll smell when it's done. Watch it so it doesn't catch fire. No sieve? Grind it with the back of a spoon on a sheet of paper. To revive an old, dried-out toast, re-toast it for a couple of minutes in an oven preheated to no more than 120°C. Then dissolve 0.5% ammonium carbonate in 10% water (0.1 g and 2 g for 17.9 g of snuff), mix it in and leave it for several days.
