Bernard Amostrinha is a German Schmalzler with a medium grind and moderate moisture. The snuff has a dark brown colour and contains mineral oil, which creates the characteristic texture of this style. Tasting notes include chocolate, menthol, camphor, and natural tobacco, with earthy and smoky secondary notes.
The nicotine strength is medium, making it suitable for beginners. The chocolate and tobacco notes form the base, while the menthol and camphor add a cooling element. The grind resists being taken too deeply into the nasal passages.

Bernard's is a masterpiece why do you think they don't make 100g cans because people will pay the extra for a snuff that is truly professionally made

Granted I don't have as much experience with snuff and schmalzlers as other users but I find this one unlike anything else I've tried. It has a very strange, almost "medical" quality to it that I just can't put my finger on. When I had my first pinch, it was so unusual that a jolt went through my entire body. However, strangely, I wanted more! Now it's probably my favourite "flavoured" schmalzler. Although I can't take it too often as I find the backdrip quite annoying. That might be just me and my inexperience though.
