SNUV - Rusty Trombone
SNUV - Rusty Trombone
SNUV Rusty Trombone has a fine grind with moderate moisture and medium-high nicotine strength. The colour is light to medium brown. Tasting notes include natural tobacco, earthy, incense, leather, and nutty notes, with incense as the strongest note.
The blend contains rustica tobacco, which contributes to the high nicotine content. The aroma has barnyard and fermented notes typical of Indian-style snuffs, with hay and ammonia undertones. The fine grind requires some handling skill.

This is almost identical to 6 Photo MG Madras and Yellow Dragon Madras in flavor/scent and texture but maybe not as dry. So I'm guessing this is the natural rustica scent which is very unique and distinctively earthy/muddy. It reminds me of playing basball on a muddy field after a rain. It's worth a try unless you already have one of those.
Its good, but I got this one specifically because some people were describing a barn or feed store. My impression is that its mostly menthol with a faint sorta.. Idk dust, musk, or wood? The non-mint note is hard to describe and not as present as i hoped. I wanted some noticeable hay and old building in there
Ordered this product to Canada as we have nothing available here. I was more than impressed with the quality and nicotine level. With hints of smoke and ever present leather, I have this tin everywhere I go. Highly recommend a try.
This one immediately remined me of a feed store aroma. I don't mean that in a negative way but this is that exact smell. If you grew up on a farm I think you will know what I mean. Smells like the feed room in my fathers barn. Reminds me of one of our horses.
I like it but I do not take it often.
Unlike the namesake may suggest this was not an indulgent pleasurable moment for me, and unlike a true Rusty Trombone the enjoyment was not relished by its taker in my experience. I am fond of rustic plain snuffs to which this is not, it is scented and I suspect is unintentional and likely the byproduct of close processing to other snuff products. Very one dimensional with an ever present scent of spice and sandlewood etc and and ever lingering funky smell that I do find unwelcome. It's redeeming qualities are found in its nicotine content and relative ease of taking, if you are fond of scented snuffs this may tickle your funny bone but it is not for me.
