My neighbor and friend who was kind enough to remind me about snuff over the past year, and we helped each other quit smoking via our snuff fixation and hobby.I have taken it upon my self to be the fruit and menthol guy while he buys the natural/ non menthol snuffs. I make it a point to give everything a try. St. Clements is amazing. In a week his 50 gram bag was just a memory. Next order I place I will be getting some St Clemnets of my own.
I have no idea where the name for this snuff originates, but it would be a shame for me to find that it's not somehow tied to Clementine Oranges. Because that's exactly what it smells like to me - fresh, sweet, easy to peel Clementine Oranges.
It's really that simple, and it's really that good.
St. Clements was too strong when I first got it. My initial thought on the scent was floor cleaner. After it had some time to air out and I got more accustomed to it, I liked it more. Now I can appreciate the toned down flavor like I imagine it was meant to be. It's got a citrus flavor a little on the tart side, medium grind, and medium moisture. It's got a modest nicotine, which you would expect from a snuff that is meant for the flavor. I'm not a huge fan of citrus, but I do like St. Clements. I probably won't order it again for a while, only because I'd like to try other offerings from Toque.
