Wilsons Rows of Sharrow is a hybrid flavor that features the garden rose. The aromas meld into a wonderfully floral bouquet that features this perennial shrub accompanied by a whiff of citrus and a musky, tea-like scent. These components are wed to very aromatic cultivars that contribute to the full bodied tobacco base. There are no real distractions to this well balanced offering that has the formula for homogeneous blend of earth and flora. This mid brown powder with medium grind and moderate moisture provides an above average hit of nicotine in every prickly pinch. Imagine a stroll through the rows of an English garden.

My first pinch was like a kick in the head (a good one). Loads of rosy floral scents and loads of Vitamin N. I liked this much better than Royal George.
This snuff presents as a very floral bouquet. on the nose. Like walking into a greenhouse or stopping by the side of the road to smell the roses growing. My experience with floral snuffs is minimal at this point in my snuffing career but I can attest that this is the real deal. I detect no overpowering fake scents or nothing overly saccharine in this blend. A relatively low nicotine hit so this would be a good all day choice. Perfect for spring weather this time of year in Kentucky. Probably one of my favorites by Wilsons of Sharrow so far that I have tried. It's a top snuff and gets the highest of marks from me.
“I am the rose of Sharron, and the lily of the valleys. As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.” Song of Solomon 2:1 & 2. A homophone, cocoa brown Rows of Sharrow has a slightly coarse grind, is moderately moist and has a high nicotine content. It also clumps well and is easy to pinch. In a similar vein to Royal George, Rows of Sharrow, however, pulls no punches. Upon opening the tin, the waves of rose water and sweetness mislead us into believing that we are about to consume a mere confectionery. But on uptake, it pricks the nose with an intensely citrusy burn that opens the eyes and refocuses attention. As it dissipates, the florals evolve, moving beyond rose towards lily or even hibiscus. A joy to take, Rows of Sharrow is truly a lily among the thorns.
Both my wife and I actually love this one. In fact, if she has a night with the girlfriends, she takes along “Rows of Sharrow” and truly loves it. It’s my wife’s favorite snuff (along with Irish no. 22... can never go wrong there!)... definitely add it to your collection of Wilson’s of Sharrow snuffs to try!
Very much contradistinguished from G&H, it is an entirely different type of rose. In the way that a red tea rose has a distinct musky quality, and an orange rose has - well, a citrus note. Much more obvious scent than the G&H, moist, easier to take, but the scent does not carry as long on the nose. I am going to try to get better acquainted with this solid offering.
