"With a scent that seems to me to be a cross between Dentyne and Dettol, this is one unique snuff with a strongly medicinal smell which I like. Sometimes the why and the when are as important as the what and this is the case here. For me this is a great snuff for those days when your nasal dryness is spoiling your snuffing pleasure as this is a moist snuff that's easy to use and clears my nose making it easy to breathe. I would imagine this is one of those love it or hate it snuffs, but I love it so it gets an easy five stars."

American Wintergreen Nose Candy

Boy was I glad to see this was back in stock here! I thought I was seeing things! No, turns out I wasn't. I'd long been on the hunt for this after the comparisons between it and American wintergreen moist snuffs (such as Skoal and Kodiak) because there are so few wintergreen snuffs out there sans this and JBL Green, which I've never had. Well, I knew what to expect based on reviews so when I got the tin, I wasn't disappointed! This is a very nice brown, semi-moist (40% or so) coarsely ground snuff that sticks to the fingers and smells EXACTLY like Skoal Wintergreen! It's great as a dip but even better in the nose, if you can imagine snuffing Skoal Wintergreen you'll get the idea. Perfect for dippers trying to quit and save their gums (I wish I could quit). One of the best American snuffs for sure, and very unique along with Railroad Mills Maccoboy.

Wow

I really need to read descriptions better but it does say it's a moist snuff, which in turn my head said dip, let's get it, it's the first dry snuff I've had and to my delight it's quite good and not as terrible as I thought it would be, gives a bit of a kick but not to over powering lovely wintergreen sent clears the sinus

Easy To Take

First off, I love the plastic cans - they beat the heck out of the cardboard tubes.

This is fairly unique for an American snuff.
It's quite moist compared to the typical dry American brands.
That makes it very easy to take. Almost too easy, because with that fine grind and gentle delivery, you may, like me, find yourself clogging up your sinuses before you realize it.
The scent is also something you don't see every day in nasal snuff - Wintergreen.
Yes, it's fairly common for American dipping tobacco.
But don't let that throw you. This isn't a sickly sweet flavoring like Skoal and it's relatives. It's a very dry, perfunctory flavor - perfect for a daily use snuff.

My only regret is that I have to order an American made snuff from Ireland, and then have it shipped back to the States...
LOL

Nicely dry, unique and strong. I agree with the dentist cleaning product aroma. It is lush. Recommend this one

Lifesavers For Your Nose

Moist and dark, Checkerberry is like a Wint-O-Green Lifesavers candy for the nose. Unlike all the other American snuffs, Checkerberry is a powerhouse in the scent department. And though some of the other reviewers may disagree with me, it has loads of nicotine. The plastic tub with a snap on top keeps the snuff fresh and moist. It's easy to overdose on this one because the scent and flavors make me take repeated pinches. Have a hanky handy, because this one will make your nose run. The back drip is sweet, the blow is clean and cooling. I'm glad Mr. Snuff keeps this in stock!
