There is a double fermentation of the tobacco, giving it a splendid richness, which isn't overpowering at all. Also, it doesn't stay in the nose as long, too. It's very dark in color and pretty moist.
The flavor is of delicate, rich tobacco with the addition of apple, which gives it a light, mellow sweetness and works extremely well. And the scent makes another big leap when blowing it out. The price is highly reasonable! A must try, to say the least.

I think this stuff is wonderful. Very fruity, light, moist, and extremely easy to take.
The scent and flavor is strong and it does have potential for back drip but these are not drawbacks for me.
I have tried 2 of the othe Poschl bag schmalzlers but that has been at least 5 years so now I want to try them out again.
Nice and dark schmalzler with a great apple profile underscored with a banana foster's profile. Nice big pinches, with no burn. 5 stars.
Not for me. I was curious and excited to try this variety of snuff because it was suppose to be very moist and a courser grind plus have a fruity taste. Well, it has a fruit taste but it's not what I expected or wanted. Think grandma's old fruit cake or cooked bananas it's not refreshing or a good taste in the nose at all. Because I found this repulsive after a month of occasional use I just threw the rest out. If my description of the taste sounds appealing up your nose then give it a shot.
Dark, moist and coarse, this Schmaltzler has the flavor of a deep, dark chocolate cake. Its aroma is exactly like a moist cake, and the scent makes a slight comeback when your blow your nose. A previous reviewer mentioned "bananas", and while I do taste the banana, its in the background for me. It goes up well in the nose in bigger pinches. Another one to add to my dessert snuffs.
