A nice mellow sweet scotch snuff. I would say its in the middle range of bbq smokiness. Easy on the nose and can be enjoyed all day. Same base as Navy plain but with the added sweetness. It is mild on the sweet range as well.

This was one of the first snuffs I tried, so I did not have anything to compare it to, but I enjoyed it the first time around. Since then, I have tried other kinds of snuff and this stuff is still one of my favorites. I would say it is in the middle range in terms of the nicotine hit. The nicotine hit is not overwhelming by any means, but I felt nice and relaxed with a bit of good energy as well. Compared to some other snuffs though I do need to sniff a bit more of this one for more nicotine. The smell is a bit earthy, smokey with a hint of BBQ, and maybe a leather/tobacco kind of smell. It is similar to Bruton snuff but a lot less BBQ to this one. This is a great option for an all-day snuff. I don't feel like you can easily overdo it with this one. You could snuff this all day and be good. I'd give it 5 stars, but for me, I really wish it was a bit stronger with the nicotine, but that just means I snuff a bit more of it. 4/5 stars still mean it is a great snuff option though.
I love this stuff. Sweet smell and a sweet taste. Small burn that fades quick and the after smell is very pleasant for a few. Makes my nose run sometimes.
When I first started using dry American sweet snuffs, I hated them, but I hated them for the reason that I hadn't quite figured out how to control the sniff. Now, after much practice and use, American drys are some of my favorite because I can use them all day, they are readily available where I live and one 30g can lasts a long time.
I have tried both varieties of Navy, but I prefer the sweet version. It is very fine and dry with a dark smokiness, reminiscent of a BBQ, as another reviewer mentioned. I like Navy because I really can use it all day and not get tired of it. This and Tube Rose are the true aids in my battle to finally quit smoking. Enough nicotine with a great woodsy, leathery scent that I really enjoy.
This was my first snuff experience. I wouldn't suggest this for a "virgin" nose. It's good don't get me wrong, just a bit much to start on. Tends to go straight into the throat if you sniff (snuff?) to vigorously. I'm now using McChrystal and can go back to Navy and enjoy it more. Heavy smoky flavor with strong tobacco, and a hint of loamy earth with a very sweet appeal.
This is my FIRST Scotch Snuff purchase I have made, and I love it. It is very easy going in your nose, and as the man in the first review said, It is an all day snuff. there is no sting that you would get from menthol snuff. If you are one who doesn't care for menthol, this is the snuff to get! IT makes me feel very relaxed, and yet it gives me that positive enegy boost while I am workI love the aroma of an unlit swisher cigar, and this powdered nasal snuff leaves that very scent in my nose. This product is a must have! Thanks Mr. Snuff:)
