Taxi Blue is a robust South African snuff that has a reputation for its strength. This well fermented blend of local virginia and rustica cultivars compromise the backbone of this powerhouse. The tobacco, when freshly tinned, gives of a very pungent aroma due to residual ammonia from fermentation, it is suggested to let the contents "air out" by leaving the cover off and letting the spirits evaporate. The stink, being a sign of freshness, may be the price to pay to enjoy this wild African tiger but does abate after a few hours. The initial flavor is of pure tobacco that is imparted by its terroir and reveals a singular flavor.

This is natural tobacco taste has no perfumes, bouquet, spice or aromatic alterations of any kind, just raw tobacco. Due to the coarseness of the grind, it is easy to take with little to no irritation. The color is dark, almost black and is very moist which delivers a preeminent rush of endorphins that might make one stagger. Only for the brave at heart, enjoy mateys.

Available in a convenient 15 gram container size.

This is a nice introduction to South african Gwayi style; very coarse, very moist, very heavy and barnyardish in scent ,not to leave out the delightful odor of ammonia insuring freshness. Some are turned off but I quite enjoy it.It tends to get messy if your nose runs in cold weather. I prefer using a large snuff spoon with these and place it right up to my nose I sniff then keep it there for a second longer to catch any extra,Waste not and all that whooy, then fill the other nose cave.It is nice just plain tobacco goodness,I can breath easy and take in all the richness, the nicotine isn't as high as it's big brother taxi red,but it is there to satisfy the need.Easy enough for the novice snuff user and satisfying for the veteran.Note keep a box of tissues or a brown handkerchief close, you may feel the need to blow.

Ive heard many things about Taxi Blue, I saw it on sale and decided to give it a try. Taxi Blue comes in a nice smash box, which is very well needed as it is very moist. The tobacco presents itself as a brown snuff of a coarse grind. The initial smell is slightly fruity and creamy. Ive heard about the barnyard smell and upon opening the container, I did not detect that nor an ammonia smell. When I took the first pinch, that’s when I got the barnyard aroma, which dosent bother me as I grew up on a ranch, and the barnyard aroma mostly referred to in snuffs has always been very subtle compared to a real barnyard. You have to sniff pretty hard to get the snuff in your nose as its very coarse, and the big nic kick talked about with this snuff: they were not kidding. A good snuff to take after a hard day in which you need a good kick in the nose. In the future I plan to purchase the other snuffs of the Taxi line as this one was to my liking.

I love Taxi Blue! It has a strong full bodied aroma that you can feel in the lungs. Being course, it's so easy to snuff while breathing in. The tobacco is very soft too so it is very gentle in the nose. When my nose begins to run it runs dark. My wife once asked me if I had a nosebleed. The blow is nice and clean and the aroma remains and is also enjoyed in the lungs. As far as nicotine goes I have decided that there is no need to turn to taxi Red for more. The higher nic of Taxi Red seem to interfere with the flavor factors so its Taxi Blue for me.
