CUSTOMER REVIEW: I have to say I approached this one with some trepidation. The idea of flavoring snuff with cheese just seemed a little strange. Wine? Yes, certainly, and the port wine flavoring in this snuff is deep and distinctive. And then that gentle background of ripe Stilton insinuates itself into the olfactory senses. Oh yes, that works!
The wine flavor disappears fairly quickly but I find that I get reprises of the cheese, most pleasantly, for quite some time after indulging. The snuff is of a fine to medium grind but quite fluffy and moist, so is easy on the nose. This has to be the perfect after dinner snuff. It goes perfectly after dinner, with port and Stilton of course.

It's like the old commercials say: A little dab will do ya.
Please note, I am a novice at this point, I recently ordered a selection of things that looked interesting. Wine and cheese is certainly interesting. opening the box gives a fine nose of strong, dark tobacco, like taking a whiff of a box of good cigars. My first sample was a bit too generous and quite overwhelming. I admit, I coughed and choked. I tried again with a very small pinch and that is when I finally was able to detect the wine and cheese aromas. This is not my favorite, but it is very complicated and interesting and I am hoping my appreciation will grow as I continue to learn more about this fascinating old-time vice.
