Bernard Civette Extrafein 10g

Very unique flavor. Medium bodied schmalzler with a very musky aroma, yet not sour. There an almost faint pine sawdust under the musk. There's nothing to compare it to. It's not sweet like many other Bernards. Very unusual.

This shit alone is TERRIBLE, unless you love the smell of soot from a fireplace. HOWEVER, I give it 3 stars because it can be an excellent accent snuff to layer on top of a nice go-to snuff. I usually go for a Magic Moments and then follow up with this to add a nice smoky note to the beautiful fruity flavors of Magic Moments. This snuff literally smells exactly like bonfire ashes and charcoal alone, though.

I love this snuff, it's the closest thing to smoking without smoking. My only complaint i sthat its not available in a bigger size.

Tremendous snuff! Properly moist, medium grind and subtle smell. The salty top notes give way to a smokey flavour that leaves the aroma of aged cured sausage in the nose. Very much a natural scent, it gives one the feeling of eating a dried salami whilst hiking through the forest in the autumn. Medium to strong nicotine, but dries out very quickly in the tap box, keep this one in a humidor, it is well worth the investment.

This is a drier, more finely ground product than other Bernard schmalzler-based products, and some might find the difference a refreshing one. I found this snuff to be an "acquired taste." The sensation is cool in the nostrils, and it produces copious moisture in the nose. The aroma to my tastes was a bit like cardboard with a piney/smoky hint at first sniff, but patience allowed me to experience this snuff at full bloom, and it is quite lovely. If you have found other Bernard products to be too coarse or sweet to enjoy, this snuff is a very good choice. I only give it 4 out of 5 stars, as despite its merits, it is a bit less accessible to my palate when compared to other Bernard offerings. Still, this is a good snuff to keep on hand for a quick fresh feeling and a bit of inspiration.
