Taxi Green is a robust South African snuff that has a reputation for its strength. This well fermented blend of local virginia and rustica cultivars compromise the backbone of this powerhouse. The tobacco, when freshly tinned, gives of a very pungent aroma due to residual ammonia from fermentation, it is suggested to let the contents "air out" by leaving the cover off and letting the spirits evaporate. The stink, being a sign of freshness, may be the price to pay to enjoy this wild African tiger but does abate after a few hours. The initial flavor is of pure tobacco that is imparted by its terroir and reveals a singular flavor.
Additionally, there is a layer of menthol that provides a moderately refreshing hit to the nose with no burn. The color is dark, almost black and is very moist, easy to pinch and the grind is coarse like a rappee. This offering ticks all the boxes for many snuff enthusiasts. Try a pinch today.

Mildly mentholated but with a great dark tobacco flavor with some complexities thrown in there very good I will be getting more!
This was the first snuff I ever emptied and felt sad.And that won't happen again I always order a couple.I am not a huge user of mentholated snuff, there are a few and this south african is a beauty, She is course and moist and delivers a great nicotine hit the menthol is both a feel and a scent but not over powering, you get to enjoy the great tobacco base. Not as heavy with the barn yard scent as its brothers red and blue but it's there in the back ground waving hello.Easy enough for the novice and satisfying for the veteran snuff user Note keep tissues handy or a brown handkerchief.
This snuff is simply great. It's the only product I've tried so far that actually has a noticeable nicotine hit. The mint is not overpowering but does leave a great smell and tingle in the nose and the snuff itself, is dark, rich, a course grind, and very satisfying. The only downside of this snuff is getting it into your nose. If they made a delivery system, I would buy it! You have to pinch the snuff and shove it in, but it still makes quite a mess all over the place. Because this snuff is such a moist tobacco, you get a great tobacco sensation, but it also drips a dark brown and makes you use tissues a lot, so this is not a good snuff to use at work or if you're interacting with the public. At home, this snuff can't be beat and I didn't find the smell off-putting at all like some users did. Definitely give this one a try, I was pleasantly surprised.
For me this snuff is ideal. What menthol there is ,is more a feeling of freshness in the nose than anything. The ammonia smell vanishes as soon as the snuff enters the nose, and is replaced by a barnyard scent that takes me back to the stockyard each time I endulge. The nicotine is strong enough to let one feel the effects very well with only moderate amounts taken, which works well in the work place. If, however, you choose to pack it in, be ready for a little nic trip. Well worth the money as the effects are long lasting, and it is very easy to take once you realize to just shove it in. Very good snuff.
