Wilsons Irish No.22 is just like a slice of lightly burnt and buttered grilled bread. The slightly sweet and nutty taste of dry cracked cereal grain sits on top of peaty, bitter and marshy scents squeezed from prime aromatic tobaccos. The aromas are reminiscent of a misty morning trek in a lowland lea outside County Atrim heading for a shelter of thatch and comfort of a roaring fireplace. This snuff's color is saddle brown, the grind is extra fine, the moisture is non existent. Beware of the fire in the hole, as this tobacco powder can scorch the nose but provides a nicotine surge that is breathtaking. Beware of this paddy's punch, you may end up on your keester.

my favorite after extensive sampling

i absolutely love this snuff, it's easily my favorite. from the very first whiff lingering in my nose after i popped open the tin to take a look, i was surprised by a smell so nostalgic that it instantly brought up memories otherwise long lost. there's a distinct fresh soil smell that reminds me of walking through the park in spring, and an almost fertilizer-like smell reminiscent of passing the horse stalls at the county fair. I know that doesn't necessarily convey the most appetizing aroma, but once you try it you'll understand exactly why that impression is wrong. i can see myself buying this by the ounce, no question

Great snuff, great service

Been a fan of Irish #22 for 3 or 4 years. My last order (2 lbs) got to me in central Texas in less than 2 weeks! Very pleased and impressed!

Very good toast

If you're a fan of F&T's high dry toast than this is a must have. Has a very similar scent to it, buttery, slightly sweet and slightly smoky. Has a really silky feel to it for how dry it is. I find it easy to snuff for being a toast as well. It has just enough nicotine that you don't have the urge to blow and snuff more after your first pinch like I find myself doing with others.

Unpleasant finish

Smooth and fine ground. I get a distinct urine finish with this one. A little too natural for me on this one.
