Snuv Black Range is a perfectly balanced blend of Rustica and Virginia tobaccos.
The color of the snuff is almost black. A fairly coarse grind along the lines of classic Bayern Prise German snuff, with a dash of paraffin oil which gives these snuffs their distinctive fluffy feel and also helps prevent the moisture from drying out.
Snuv Black Rose is a complex mix of rose flavors. If you are a rose lover then Black Rose will not disappoint. If you are not, then it will likely smell like your maiden aunt's bathroom right after she has liberally applied her favorite talc.
If you have never tried a rose snuff before then Black Rose is a great place to start.
In the tin, Black Rose has a fairly subtle fragrance. Indeed, you will likely discern more of the sweetness of the tobacco rather than any overpowering rose scent.
Once pinched it is a different story. There is a nice nicotine sting. Like all snuffs in the Snuv Black Range, it is not overpowering , mellowed as it is by the Virginia tobacco and the oils, but it still gets your attention.
The attar of rose punches in fast and there is no doubt at all that you now have a Black Rose up your schnozzle. The Black Rose subsides after about 10 minutes and retreats into the background.
This allows the Rustica and Virginia tobaccos to take center stage for their performance. Supported by a troupe of background aromas, musk right behind the tobacco duo and cast of herbs and spices all playing their little part to make it a night to remember.
Robust, confident, limber and sweet, and they dance in the nose like the true maestros that they are. You are undeniably in the presence of excellence.
If you could you'd toss a rose (a Black Rose, naturally) on stage at the end of their wonderful act.

This snuff, Snuv Black Rose, is dangerously good! It arrived today with 3 other snuff and really stands out as something different and special. A mix of musk, rose dark tobacco and something else I can’t put my finger on. On taking it there is a little burn, but that burn stays with for a good while, and the flavour last much longer than many other snuffs. I am going to have to stock up on this! Highly recommended!
The flavor is a excellent blend, with heavy moist earth, undertones that are balanced by dark rich flore's, the Nic hit is rather potent. A must try if you're looking for a strange OG floral snuff.
I love the scent of roses. Toque Rose is one of my favourites but it is a one dimensional (though lovely) beast when it come to the rose scent. Black Rose knocks it out of the park. It has the perfect round rose scent of a sublimely composed fragrance like the sadly discontinued Amouage Homage. Black Rose does have a blast of something chilling like a menthol but it's not overpowering. It opens the olfactory sense up and allows one to enjoy this snuff even further. The nic hit is lovely. A nice rush to head. It's a dark drown. The brown of a very fertile soil. Powder fine with a little moisture but not enough to where if you sniff just a bit too hard you'll blast it up your snooter. Highly recommended.
The sound of metal-on-metal friction of the unscrewing top heralds a succession of exquisite nasal pleasures that will unveil their profundity the hours to follow. The journey begins with the smell of rose water, muddled mint and the sweetness freshly cut grass wafting from the just-opened tin. Coarsely ground this dark brown snuff is not as black as the other snuffs in the series, but still twinkles from the tobacco and botanicals, which were fermented in brine. Upon uptake one is greeted by an uncommonly cool burn that morphs into a freshness of rose that is both deep and effervescent. It is not the synthetic rose oil of cheap perfumes but the Damascena rose essence found at Guerlain. As Black Rose seductively reveals itself, violet, green almond and lychee slowly join the symphonic crescendo of flavours in a rhinal manifestation of German Romanticism. A worthy companion to most hedonistic pleasures, it is well suited Pinot Noir Champagnes such as Laurent Perrier’s Cuvée Rosé.
This has a very nice long lasting slightly musky rose scent to me with a pleasant bold nicotine content which just keeps lingering and is a very nice experience. I could easily see myself whiffing several cans of this a week.
