A trip to Grandmother's house

When I was a child my grandmother's house always smelled of lilacs and her treats were wonderfully vintage lemon drops and violet pastilles from Les Anis de Flavigny. This snuff triggers memories of visits to Grand-maman's on the Plateau Mont-Royal and basking in her radiance. I particularly enjoyed Bordeaux's citrusy-floral notes after a meal of roast duck as a means of clearing the pallet of the residual fats as one would do with a trou-Normand.

Fribourg & Treyer's Bordeaux is quite possibly the best snuff I have ever had the pleasure of sampling - the entirety of the product is immaculate in every way imaginable. Most readily discernible being geranium, rose, and other flowers, the scents present in this snuff form a near perfect list of ingredients (albeit hardly comprehensive due to the ingenious mix of essential oils and exquisite complexity). The texture of Bordeaux is fine and semi-moist, so that it forms a loose powder while retaining an almost pillowing feeling when pinched or compressed, which I find to be very enjoyable and makes taking it an easy task. When inhaled, the snuff goes in almost unnoticed for me, so it is easy to take too much (as if I knew what that meant - it seems like its impossible to take too much of it). I experienced minimal clogging or unpleasant nose drip, and because I could take this snuff every day of the week for the rest of my life I would have to say this is one of the best, if not the best, snuffs on the market today. Fribourg & Treyer proudly claimed their products to be fit for kings and dukes, and this snuff certainly meets this standard. One might dare to say it exceeds the standard...

Bordeaux is the reason I decided to try snuff in the first place. I really love everything Fribourg & Treyer puts out. Bordeaux is a rather moist snuff, though can start to dry out if you don't keep the lid tight. It smells rather flowery, reminds me of damp soil or like a greenhouse but I'm sure it's a much more fulfilling sensation that I just can't grasp. If you want something that will bring you back in time, to the old days and just want to relax one evening, then this is the snuff to get. The nic hit isn't that strong in my opinion and if you take too much you can taste it in the back of your throat which isn't too pleasant but shouldn't be any concern. Probably one of my favorite snuffs. I'd recommend it.

I like this snuff. It is somewhat moist right out of the cylinder can. I love the way this snuff smells. Im having trouble traking down what the snuff smells like. When this product is snuffed it has a slight sting. It has an odd taste as it drips down my throat; it tastes very soapy in my opinion and that is perfectly fine with me. That is all I can come up with being I am new to nasal snuff.
